Today's experiment:
I bet everybody has heard at least once in their life
about the so-called "zone of comfort" - the set of routine situations
in which a person feels comfortable enough (which doesn't always mean happy)
that he/she fears and resists any change. For example, you feel bored with your
job and see no opportunity for promotion. You may quit and start looking for
some other job offers, but it means taking some risk as you leave your
"zone of comfort", and you think you'd better not change anything,
besides the salary is not that disastrous...
So, the conclusion is the following: you shouldn't
be afraid to leave your "zone of comfort". No need to quit your
job out of the blue, you may do simple things and see the results. For example,
change the way you go to work or return, the food you eat for breakfast, the
way you spend your weekend, your make-up, hair style and etc. Try to go to some
place where you have never been, try to eat some food that you have never
tried, try to do something alone, just on your own, that makes you feel
uncomfortable and uneasy, like having a lunch in a restaurant alone, or going
on holidays to the country you want even if you can't find anybody to join you.
Break the limits you live in. Break the limits that
bother you. See how multicolored life can be and how diverse the opportunities
it gives.
